Note From Meet Director: District Pre-View Cross Country Meet

Welcome to the 2022 Pre-View District Cross Country Meet. Please read through the following
information carefully. We have tried to set up the meet in a way to follow UIL guidelines.

Meet Information
Location: Horizon Golf Club (16000 Ashford, Horizon City, TX 79928)
Start Time: 7:30 Coaches Meeting; 8:00 AM Rolling Time Start
1-6A Varsity Girls; 1-6A Varsity Boys; 1-6A; Open Girls; Open Boys
Entries: All participants need to be entered on RunnerCard. The meet will open on Monday,
September 19 at 9:30AM and close on Thursday, September 22 at 4PM.
Report Time: All runners should report to the area behind the starting line a minimum of 10
minutes before their race.
Course Map: Please see the course map attached. Printed maps will not be handed out at the
meet. If you want printed maps, please print them on your own.
Team Arrival: Please see the map below that shows the designated area for team camps and
warm-up. I recommend you have your athletes bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
Buses: Please have your buses park at Ensor Middle School. (13600 Ryderwood Ave) See Map.
Awards: will be handed out at the end of each division.
Scoring & Timing: Timing chip are incorporated into the race-bib / race number. Race numbers
are in race packet. Race number must be visibly displayed, and each corner pinned to the front
of the jersey. Alternates (3) are assigned race numbers and they may participate. ALL RUNNERS
MUST COMPLETE THE RACE WITH A BIB NUMBER. For varsity divisions 10 total runners per
school may enter the race. open divisions are unlimited.
Race Structure: For each race, teams will start in assigned box.

Finish Line: There will be a chute. Runners will cross the finish line and be guided towards the
recovery area. Water will be available only for runners as finish. They will walk by, get a cup of
water, and continue into the recovery area. Only runners who have just finished racing should
be in the recovery area.
Spectators: Spectators must stay off the racecourse as marked and away from the starting line
and finish line.
Media: Media must stay off the racecourse as marked but will have a designated area by the
finish line to take pictures.
