Note From Meet Director: Entry Information:
3 athletes per school / per event
4 events per individual
1 entry per school in each relay
Entry deadline: 6 PM Monday, May 7th.
Concessions: The concession stand will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00pm
Bull Pen: The bull pen will be located at the starting line for each event. The course clerk will review the lane assignment for each event with the participants. If an athlete does not report by the time the lanes assignments are finalized, they will be scratched from the event.
Starting Heights:
Girls High Jump: 4-2, the bar will raise 2 inches until 5 feet.
Boys High Jump: 5-4, the bar will raise 2 inches until 6 feet.
After these initial heights the bars will rise at 1 inch increments at the discretion of the Event Judge and the last 3 Athletes in.
Field Events:
All Field events will be in arranged into flights according to submitted entries, with the best entries in the last flight. If there is a conflict with another event please communicate with the event judge to give your athlete adequate time to compete. We will advance top nine athletes to finals in each of the distance field events. The High Jump will operate within the usual guidelines of competition. Any tie for 5th place will be determined first by head to head throws/jumps and in the last resort by a throw/jump off.
General Info:
National Federation rules will be govern the meet. The length of spikes may not be longer than ¼? pyramid on track surfaces.
Uniforms must follow state and federation guidelines. No hats, Bandanas or Jewelry. If there are questions, refer to the uniform guideline in the state handbook and the NSF rulebook. Please notify the meet administrator if there is a discrepancy.
Finals will consist of the top 8 qualifiers from the preliminary rounds. Top 9 for Field Events. (THERE WILL BE A 2 HEAT FINAL IN THE HURDLES BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF ROOM IN LANE 8. The slowest 3 preliminary times will run first.
For the distance races: All starts will be waterfall starts.
Scoring: 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 ? 5 places 4 relays will be scored. Top 4 places qualify to the state meet regardless of times. State Qualfying time will automatically advance.
Only athletes in an event and meet officials are permitted inside the track?s perimeter fence. Please instruct your athletes to not walk across the track and field to get to an event or the restroom/concessions stand.
Weigh in will be conducted at the Track shed on the southwest side corner of the track from 9:00- 9:30 Morning Fields Events Following the conclusion 200M prelims the weigh master will open 30 minutes for the afternoon field event weigh-ins. The implements will be marked and must have this mark in order to be used in the meet.
Team packets will be available by 9:00am. Please pick them up ASAP so we can address any problems before the coaches meeting.
Coaches Meeting will be held at 9:30am at the finish line. Please have any scratch/substitutions done at this time.
The games committee will be comprised of the Head Coaches from each school.
