Note From Meet Director:
Welcome to another exciting season of Track and Field. This year Tornillo Junior High will host its track meet at Coyote stadium on Saturday, April 23rd. The meet will consist of four divisions: 7th Girls/Boys and 8th Girls/Boys. Medals will be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each event within each division, AND team champions 1st place trophies. All races will be timed finals. The sign up and entry process for this meet will be done entirely through Runnercard.com. If you don't have a runnercard account, you must create one for your team to be able to register. Athletes competing must be signed up through this system (NO EXCEPTIONS). The deadline to sign up athletes is THURSDAY, April 21st at 10pm After this, no athletes will be added/changed. Due to the limited number of bleachers for athletes and fans we will only be able accommodate for the 7 teams that are scheduled to compete on that day. For the teams that are coming you will receive the meet access code to be able to register. A few notes: BOYS WILL RUN IN THE MORNING AND GIRLS FIELD EVENTS WILL TAKE PLACE. THEN IT WILL SWAP. EXCEPT 2400 AND 100/110 HURDLES WILL ALL TAKE PLACE IN THE MORNING. 2400 divisions may be combined. 1600 possibly. Girls will run 100 hurdles. Boys will run 110 hurdles. There will be no other hurdles events. Do not enter names in the 200 hurdles Please enter all field event marks with English marks; apostrophe (') for feet, quotation marks (") for inches [Ex: 4'5"]. All times should be entered using a colon (:) to separate minutes from seconds. Ex: 3:34.24. WORKING ASSIGNMENTS GEMS-Long Jump CLINT-High Jump FT.HANCOCK-Discus ALDERETE-Triple Jump HORIZON-Shot Put FABENS- Relay Exchanges * Note: timing, and picking will be done by Tornillo ISD coaching staff. **Please bring your own measuring tape for your respective event. Each event must have 2-3 workers. Please arrive to your working assignment atleast 15 minutes before start time. **PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLES We look forward to seeing you and your teams.
