Note From Meet Director: Coaches Welcome to the Socorro High School Invitational. We look forward to running an
efficient and organized meet for all coaches and athletes. The track meet will be a one-day
track meet starting at 10am. Please have all runner card entries submitted and complete by
Wednesday, February 21 at 4pm. Entries are liited to 3 per school for each individual event, and 1 relay per school. A scratch meeting will be held at 9am -there will be no ADD-ONS, only substitutions, if an athlete is unable to compete.
Meet specifics.
All running events will be timed finals and we will keep a rolling schedule to
accommodate all runners.
We will begin the track meet with female running events and male field events.
At the conclusion of the boys 200, we will take a short break to honor our Senior athletes.
At the conclusion of the female 1600m relay we will have a 30-minute break for coaches
and male runners to prepare.
Once the 30-minute break is complete we will begin promptly with male running events
and female field events.
All teams must set up camps in the stands and only athletes checking in or warming up
are allowed on the field.
Once running events begin it is a rolling schedule.
All field events will be 4 attempts for Varsity and 3 attempts for Open and Freshman.
We will have a shuttle going back and forth from the SAC to Socorro High School, if
coaches choose to have female throwers arrive with male throwers that is fine.
Please have your athletes check in on time for the possibility of combining divisions. All
athletes must get their hip numbers prior to reporting to the start line. Hip numbers
should be visible and on the left side, on the hip. We will call out names at check in,
after two announcements the runner will be scratched.
Coaches please be flexible with multi-event athletes.
