Note From Meet Director: Hello Coaches and Welcome to the Eastwood Middle School Track Meet. Runnercard is up and ready for your entries. Please have your entries in NO LATER than Friday, March 1st @ 12:00 PM. We will have our coaches/scratch meeting at 7:45 a.m. The plan is to begin the field events at 8:30, so that the athletes competing in both field and track events are not rushed. We will have hospitality for the coaches and volunteers. Duties are listed below. Both the shot put and discus area will be located on our baseball field
Meet entries will close Friday, March 1st at 12:00p.m. Thank you!
Eastwood and Hanks- timers, please bring your own stop watches.
Parkland: long jump and Triple jump (bring your own tape measure and stop watches)
Ysleta: shot put and Discus (bring your own tape measures and stop watches)
YWLA- relay judges and hurdles
**All schools will provide relay judges, if needed ***
Coaches meeting 7:45a.m.
First Call Field Events at 8:00
Field events start at 8:30.
Running events begin at 9:00 with the 2400.
If we are able to start field events at 8:30 we will, so the athletes are not rushed for their other events. If your event is done please help with setting up hurdles.
Camps:
Each school will have an assigned area for their bags on the bleachers. Each area will be marked by flags.
Warm-up and Cooling area:
Each school will be assigned their own warm up and cooling area in the upper courtyard, not the bleachers. When we are preparing runners for their event, those athletes may occasionally be in a school's warm up area, if this is the case please let your athletes know to stay away from runners lining up on the field.
Restrooms: Please let your athletes know that restrooms will be available, and they should enter one athlete at a time. . ( one in and one out)
Water: Please ensure your athletes bring their own water.
Please keep all athletes not competing off the field and in their respective camps.
