Dear Coaches,
Below you will find information you will need for the Eagle Relays at Canutillo Middle School on March 3, 2012.
Please have all entries posted on Runnercard by Thursday, March 1st at 10:00 a.m. The meet will be seated randomly.
All Coaches need to report to the scratch meeting by 8:00 a.m. to pick up your packets. The scratch table will be located in the girl's locker room. All scratches will take place at this time, please have all changes made by 8:30 a.m. If we do not get enough volunteers, we may need you to run an event. We will let you know what event you will be working at the scratch meeting.
The Pole Vault will begin at 8:00 a.m. Scratches will be made at the event. If you have vaulters please have them ready to vault promptly at 8:00.
Please note the attached schedule of events. We plan to have the girl's running events first. The 2400 will begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. Tell your athletes they need to listen for their events. They will be scratched from a running event if they do not report to the Clerk of the Course by the third call. We want to run an efficient meet and will not be able to wait on athletes. Please remind your athletes to stay in the stands unless they are warming up for an event. They should not be by the finish line or next to the track when competition is taking place. All athletes need to stay behind the flags or in the center portion of the field when warming up. We will need to set up the high jump pit at the north end of the track. It will be very close to the track so tell your high jumpers to be aware of the runners when they move to the high jump area. No shot or discus equipment will be allowed on the football field. Please ask your athletes to stay off the pole vault pit. Please remind your athletes they must be in a school issued uniform and they may not wear jewelry.
All buses and spectators will need to park in the front parking lots. Please have your bus driver drop off your athletes and move the bus to the front parking area until the end of the meet. Handicap parking is available next to the field and will be the only spectator parking allowed next to the football field. Spectators can walk to the track using the walkway between the buildings.
We will have a concession stand open for all athletes and spectators. The restrooms are located next to the concession stand. Please ask your athletes to stay in the track area. We may have other activities going on in the gym and it will be off limits to all athletes. We would like each school to clean their area in the bleachers before you leave. Please ask you athletes to use the trash cans so we can keep the field clean. We appreciate you help in this matter.
