Hey! This is a closed Region 2 Championship Meet for the following teams only: CYPRUS, GRANGER, HUNTER, KEARNS, ROY, TAYLORSVILLE, and WEST. A meet access code is required to register for this event.
Registration will close Tuesday, October 5th at 12:00 PM (NOON) sharp. PLEASE make sure to process all your registrations before that time.
Here is the Region 2 Cross Country Championship Meet Schedule for Wednesday, October 6th:
2:30 PM- PACKET PICK-UP & COACHES MEETING at the visitors concession building located at the northeast side of the stadium.
3:00 PM- GIRLS VARSITY RACE
3:30 PM- BOYS VARSITY RACE
4:00 PM- GIRLS JV RACE
4:20 PM- BOYS JV RACE
*Awards Ceremony will take place on the north bleachers in Royal Stadium immediately following the last boys jv race.
As per the Region 2 Handbook-
Coaches may run only 7 scoring runners and 2 non-scoring runners in the varsity championship races. Non-scoring runners must be designated prior to the race and are not eligible to receive region medals. Teams must field 5 runners in the varsity championship race before placing runners in the JV race. For the 2 non-scoring runners in each varsity race (boys and girls), coaches MUST create one additional "high school non-scoring team" in your current xc account for those varsity races. In that additional non-scoring team, you will add the 2 non-scoring boys and the 2 non-scoring girls (so 4 total). You will then register these non-scoring runners into the varsity races the same as the scoring runners. By adding this additional "high school non-scoring team" it will automatically distinguish the scoring varsity runners and non-scoring varsity runners in the Runnercard timing system.
Medals will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in the region championship meet in both the boys and girls varsity division. Certificates will be awarded to the first 10 finishers in the boys and girls JV division.
Region 2 Championship trophies will be awarded to the top girls and boys cross country teams.
The top 10 runners from each varsity race will be designated to the 1st All-Region Team and the next 10 runners will be designated to the 2nd All-Region Team. All-Region and Academic All-Region Certificates will be presented the awards ceremony.
