10K INFORMATION & COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The race begins promptly at 7:00AM! We leave from the Riverton City Park in front of the Rodeo Grounds Pavilion (the Southeast Corner of the park). From there we leave and go to 12800 S and take a quick turn right on to 1300 W. With scenic views of the golf course to the left, you will turn left to 13200 S. As romantic as running can be, eventually you will turn right on to the one and (probably) only Lovers Lane (NOTE: PART OF THIS LANE IS UNPAVED). Hopefully now full of love for running, at the end of Lovers Lane you will turn left on to 1300 W (crossing Bangerter). This is now Bluffdale so the street name changes for some reason to Loumis Parkway - we didn't name it, don't blame us. You will run on Loumis Pkwy for a short stretch and take a left at the first street opening - Blue Quill Drive. Do not turn off of this street (Blue Quill Drive) as tempted as you might be by the houses that are well above most people's paygrade (there are also pretty horses to look at - it is Bluffdale). You will come to a cute little cul-de-sac part of the street - DO NOT TURN AROUND - Venture Forward to the Jordan River Parkway Trail - it will be clearly marked. From there please follow the signs that will be clearly marking the trail. We do not want to find you in the ditch somewhere nor be sued. Before you take the trail into our lovely neighbor Draper, take a left to the Arrow Trailhead. You should see the South Valley Sewer District Building (if you do not see this, you have done something wrong, don't know what, but something - also side note: it does not stink, it is just the head building). From here it will take you back to 1300 W (it is a quaint little loop). Now you will run on the trail back the way you came! Take Lovers Lane up to 13200 S, the back to 1300 W again, then back to the park! THE STARTING LINE IS ALSO THE FINISH LINE. In years past if you run fast enough, you can join up with some fellow racers, friends, or family running the 5k and cross the finish line together! In all reality though just follow the signs, there will be plenty, like we mean a lot! If you have any questions about the course or want to know more please check out our Riverton City Website (rivertonutah.gov/towndays/country-mile.php)

5K INFORMATION & COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The race begins promptly at 7:15AM! Hopefully now full of love for running, because you will turn around right by the part of Lovers Lane that has some creepy abandoned construction project (on the left). IT IS CLEARLY LABELED WITH SIGNS - PLEASE LOOK FOR THEM. If you eventually see the South Valley Sewer District OR see Bluffdale signs YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR! GO BACK! You will then take the same course from Lovers Lane backwards to the park (like go back that way, don't run backwards, unless you really want to, we love all people especially those willing to run and points for style!). Also, THE STARTING LINE IS ALSO THE FINISH LINE - please don't run somewhere else if you want to get a medal. If you run slow enough though, in years past, runners have been able to join up with some fellow racers, friends, or family running the 10k and cross the finish line together! In all reality though just follow the signs, there will be plenty, like we mean a lot! If you have any questions about the course or want to know more please check out our Riverton City Website (rivertonutah.gov/towndays/country-mile.php)

1-MILE INFORMATION & COURSE DESCRIPTION:
You mighty beasts running the race, you will leave at the same start line as the others, but you will NOT LEAVE THE PARK. I REPEAT, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE RIVERTON CITY PARK, we don't want any lost runners or lawsuits, we beg do not leave the park! After the start line, run straight and turn left on the side walk - you will run around the rodeo grounds! Before you get to a street (1400 W) turn left again! Follow the park trail, it will take you back to the grass area of the park, do not cross through the starting line again - this is not Mario Kart. But you will make the same loop around the Rodeo Grounds and this time after you come back to the park grass area you will turn left a third (or fourth or fifth time - in this case 2 wrongs don't make a right, but many lefts do) to cross the STARTING LINE WHICH HAS NOW BECOME THE FINISH LINE! You will cross it in the opposite direction from the way you started running. Congrats you have just run a mile! ALL FINISHERS WILL RECEIVE A MEDALLION and the top 3 finishers in each age division will receive a prize! In all reality though just follow the signs, there will be plenty, like we mean a lot! If you have any questions about the course or want to know more please check out our Riverton City Website (rivertonutah.gov/towndays/country-mile.php)

There will be refreshments provided upon any race completion (and during for those not running, we understand the race bystander guilt, all the refreshments are healthier options though, we'll try and have some donuts or something) - at the Refreshments counter at the Park Rodeo Grounds Pavilion below the sign labeled "Refreshments".

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
-- PORTAPOTTIES will be available on the route at bottom of the S-Curve on 1300 W (~mile 1.75)
-- WATERSTOPS: One on Lovers Lane at the 5k turn around & another on the Jordan River Parkway Trail - you can't miss it if you follow the signs.
-- UNPAVED PORTION OF COURSE: Be advised there is a part of the race course that is unpaved (on Loverslane) approx. 100meters.
-- For Age Division information see below.
