Welcome to the first annual Massacre Rocks Run held at scenic Massacre Rocks State Park.

"Located on the mighty Snake River, Massacre Rocks State Park is rich in history and full of year-round recreation. Miles of hiking trails provide access to a bounty of plant and bird species, Oregon Trail history, and geologic wonders. Rock climbers enjoy numerous routes. A world-class disc golf course provides players with one of the most challenging courses in Idaho. A scenic picnic area surrounds Register Rock, where emigrant names are inscribed, creating a desert oasis for the modern traveler. Remnants of the Oregon Trail are seen easily from either end of the park."

There are 4 cabins and 42 campsites to rent out if you need accommodations. For reservations call Reserve America or the Massacre Rocks Visitors Center (208) 548-2672. With beautiful views of the Snake River, remnants of the Bonneville flood, and Oregon Trail wagon ruts, this is a fun course. It has some really fun hills and the scenery is spectacular. The surface is a mix of road, sand, and gravel and is an out-and-back course following part of the river. The race starts and ends at the visitor center. Parking lots are at the boat launch, visitors center, and by the river.

Early registration is $25 with the deadline being July 29. Early registration guarantees a shirt. Main registration is $35 until August 4th at 6:00 pm. Late registration race morning is $40. The shirts will be mailed to you at a later date.
